Bennyisms

Benny has been such a silly little monkey lately, and has been cracking us up with the funny things he says. Here are some of our favorites:

"Can I be awake?" Every morning when Ben wakes up, he storms into our room and asks us this question, and it's just so cute in his little cartoon-like voice. If we tell him it's okay to be awake, he will say "I ca-yan?" (one of our other favorite things is that he turns one syllable words into two syllable words by adding a "y" in the middle. So cute!)

"Merry Christmas" Benny is such a sweet little guy. He has started telling us, out of the blue, that he loves us. It goes something like this. "I love you, Mommy" and I repeat it back to him; "Merry Christmas" [repeat]; "Happy New Year" [repeat]; "Happy Valentines Day" [repeat]; "Happy President's Day" [repeat]. We usually go through this routine about 4 or 5 times a day. It's so sweet, it just melts my heart.

"Calling all Super Readers!" Both of the boys LOVE the show Super Why on PBS. Since we got our DVR a few weeks ago we have been recording it every day and letting the boys watch it when we get home in the afternoon. Ben has decided that he is "Alphabet Pig" and loves to sing the Alpha Pig ABC's. Whenever he finds one of his toy phones, it instantly turns into a "super duper computer" and calls out "Calling all Super Readers! To the Book Club!"

And what is probably my favorite... A couple weeks ago we asked Benny what the bible was about. Without skipping a beat, he said this:

In case you had any trouble catching that, it was "Jesus Christ the Son of God has come." Couldn't have said it better myself!
