Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Last weekend Joshua got to experience his first major league baseball game. Andrew's office got 2 sections off of left field, and the tickets were pretty cheap, so we decided this was a good chance to take Joshua out to the ball game. It was such a fun day! After dropping Benny off with my parents, we headed down to the park and ride for the light rail. Joshua has been dying to take the train, and this was our perfect opportunity. He was so excited, and kept telling us that this was the best train ride ever.

Our seats were pretty good, but the action was a little far away to try to call Joshua's attention to it, but he had a good time.

After having a healthy lunch of nachos and sprite, we headed over to Baxter's Den to check out the play area.

We got back to our seats, after stopping for ice cream of course, and were able to watch a little more of the game. After the ice cream was gone, and Josh played with his pom poms for a little bit...

he told us he was ready to go. We were impressed that he made it to the 8th inning! But we know when enough is enough, so we took that as our cue to make a peaceful exit. Before leaving the ballpark we had to stop and get him a souvenir...

Although not a lot of actual baseball was watched, I'd say that Joshua's first baseball game was a huge success!
